The orthogonal grid designed by Cerdà is interrupted by the powerful Diagonal, the axis that defines the city’s identity. The circular figure alludes to La Monumental, a historic and cultural landmark seamlessly integrated into the urban fabric.
The contrast between straight lines and curved forms reflects the tension between order and vitality, reminding us that a city — even when conceived through rationality — breathes life and memory into every corner.
